These Terms govern your use of the RideShare marketplace. By creating an account or making a booking you agree to them.
What RideShare is
Marketplace role definitions.
RideShare is a peer-to-peer car rental marketplace. Hosts list vehicles and renters book vehicles for specific dates. Admins operate and moderate the platform.
RideShare is not an insurance company, not a taxi service, and not a delivery carrier. Availability and pricing may change.
Eligibility & accounts
Basic account rules.
- You must provide accurate account details and maintain account security.
- Renters must hold a valid driver’s license and comply with local laws.
- Hosts must only list vehicles they are authorized to rent out.
Bookings & payments
Key marketplace mechanics.
- Bookings are made for a defined start and end date.
- Renters pay an itemised total: vehicle rental, optional add-ons, and a refundable security deposit where applicable.
- Card payments are processed by Yoco. EFT/bank transfer uses platform bank details and a unique booking reference.
- A 15% platform service fee is deducted from the host's trip payout (rental + add-ons). This fee is not added to the renter's checkout total.
- Refunds and deposit releases follow the cancellation policy and return inspection process.

Platform access may be limited or suspended for fraud, abuse, or violations of these terms.
Changes to these Terms
Updates & acceptance.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
