How earnings work
How trip payments are structured and what you receive after the platform fee.
What the renter pays
Shown clearly at checkout.
- Vehicle rental = daily rate × trip days.
- Optional chauffeur add-on (if selected).
- Refundable security deposit (held until return — not your earnings).
- Total due now = trip subtotal + deposit. The platform fee is not added to the renter's bill.
What you receive
After platform fee deduction.
RideShareSA deducts a 15% platform service fee from the trip subtotal (rental + chauffeur). The security deposit is returned to the renter after inspection — it does not count as host income.
Host payout ≈ trip subtotal − 15% platform fee
Disputes, cancellations, or approved damage claims can adjust the final amount.
Payouts
How payouts show up.
Payouts are tracked in your host dashboard. Admins create payout records and mark them paid once funds are transferred to your bank account (typically after the trip ends and any deposit is resolved).
